Hello, my name is Evelyn and I am a PhD student at University of Sussex. I am inviting you to take part in a research study exploring critical thinking among young people who watch YouTube videos. I want to learn more about your experiences with this social media platform.

Before you decide whether or not to take part, you need to understand why the research is being done and what being involved means. Please read the participant information sheet that I created for you and watch an animated video before deciding to participate in this research study.

 

Because I am focusing on 12-14 years olds, I need your parents to know about and agree to your involvement (parental consent). I can send you a parental consent form - just email me at e.keryova@sussex.ac.uk. I will give you a unique pin number which you'll need at the beginning of the survey.
